Co-President: Chantal Elias

Chantal attributes much of her inspiration, and success, to being surrounded by powerful female mentors and community. Raised in England and Toronto, Chantal spent the last few years working in Washington, D.C. in societal issue management and reputational risk. The past year took her to France and Morocco, progressing her French language skills and broadening her global understanding.

Moved to climate action from her love of nature and desire to better the world, Chantal is pursuing her MBA to learn how to effectively help corporations decarbonize.

Chantal believes deeply in the importance of genuine connection and comradery. Throughout her life she’s been surrounded by close knit female groups, in school, extracurriculars, and in the workplace. She is so excited to be running Women in Business with her dear friend, Husan. Together, they are motivated to create opportunities and community for their classmates.

Activities that energize her: Cycling, yoga, playing piano and guitar, and anything that doesn’t include a laptop.

Co-President: Husandeep Kaur

Born and raised in India, I grew up witnessing many women struggle to speak up for themselves, both in professional settings and personal spaces within a male-dominated society. Leaving my family behind and moving abroad at a young age pushed me far beyond my comfort zone and gave me the opportunity to build the life I had always envisioned.

Over time, I realized that women’s strongest supporters are often other women. There is a unique sense of comfort, strength, and belonging that comes from being surrounded by women who uplift one another. This realization inspired me to be part of something bigger—to help create a safe, trusted space where women can connect, support each other, and grow together.

After studying science, project management, and supply chain management prior to my MBA, and working in the supply chain industry for several years, I became even more aware of how underrepresented women are in this field. Rather than discouraging me, this motivated me to push myself further so I can create impact, challenge norms, and inspire others to do the same.

Outside of work and studies, you’ll find me paddle boarding on the lake or hiking the beautiful mountains of British Columbia. Kindness is my way of living, and it reflects in everything I do- this is also how I hope to shape Women in Business: a kind, safe, and strong community.
