Karl completed his MSc in Business Management at Wroclaw University of Technology after which he moved to New Delhi, India. He spent 6 years working as a change management consultant leading and delivering projects to Fortune 500 companies around the world (Asia, Europe and North America). Shortly after he left his corporate job, Karl ventured into the entrepreneurial path starting Spicy Elephant – a company offering adventurous traveling opportunities in the Himalayas.
Karl is a traveling junkie – he has backpacked through South-East Asia, South America and Africa, a music enthusiast – he has recorded an album and toured with rock band, and a sports fan – he's always looking for opportunities to snowboard as much as he can, started the Sauder Debit Football Club, joined the Sauder hockey team and represented Sauder in MBA Games 2014′s volleyball competition.

Originally from Ohio, Michael served 5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps whichincluded two tours in Iraq. After leaving the Marines, Michael completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science from UCLA while working for then State Senator Sheila Kuehl, handling constituent concerns and assisting with drafting legislation and coordinating with various state level agencies. In 2010 he moved to Fujinomiya, Japan and spent the next 3 years as a local English & Cultural educator for both children and adults. Michael enjoys traveling around the world, scuba diving, and some amateur photography.

Andrew has a proven background in customer acquisition, relationship management, partnership and sales strategies in Canadian start up and global Fortune 500 financial technology firms. In his spare time, Andrew snowboards, cooks and produces music.

Born and raised in Pakistan, Anum completed her Bachelors in Science degree from Lahore University of Management Sciences, majoring in Economics. Post graduation, she worked in Standard Chartered Bank for two years in Human Resource Management, while also traveled to Singapore and Malaysia on short term assignments. Her passion for increasing female diversity in Business community, encouraged her to pursue an MBA from Sauder and gain international exposure as well as perspective on the North American market.Anum enjoys cooking and making people try the wonders of spices.

Willy is originally from Jakarta, Indonesia and received his undergraduate degree with a triple major in Accounting, Finance and Management. Prior to the MBA program, he spent three years working in the largest hospital chain in Indonesia as the operational leader of the ancillary departments. Willy enjoys playing basketball, soccer and other competitive sports, snowboarding and travelling.

Katrina is a Marketing and Communications Specialist currently completing her MBA at the UBC Sauder School of Business. Upon graduating from the University of Calgary, with a Bachelor of Commerce, Katrina worked as a natural gas Analyst and Logistics Representative at Husky Energy. For the past three years, Katrina was able to combine her passion for fashion and marketing as the Marketing Coordinator for Western Canada’s largest swimwear retailer, Swimco. When Katrina is not studying for an exam, writing a case memo, planning events, or playing hockey, she is….wait she doesn’t have time for much else.

As a former Casting Director in Calgary, AB, Juan had the opportunity to work with a variety of actors and international clients all working towards creating the best projects possible. He hopes to bring this level of passion and cooperation as a member of the MBA Society’s Executive team.

Janelle is from Calgary, Alberta and completed her BComm at McGill University. She has spent 5 years working for GE Healthcare in the United Kingdom and USA. She worked as a Lean Six Sigma Consultant to deliver change to health systems. She has worked extensively with clients to advance quality of care and improve operational and financial performance. Janelle enjoys playing hockey and snowboarding. She is a passionate traveller who enjoys hot yoga and running.
