The full time Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia (UBC), typically attracts a substantial number of students with engineering backgrounds. Many of them are interested in joining technology firms after graduation.
Tech Trek was designed to bring these talented UBC MBA students right to these organizations. The goal of Tech Trek is to build a strong, long-term recruiting partnership between the Sauder School of Business and key high tech employers in Waterloo and Mississauga, and uncover potential employment opportunities for our students.
During Tech Trek, students visit companies, connect with local alumni, and tour the region to experience its culture. Company visits run for 1.5 hours and typically include a company presentation, tour and Q&A or networking with key departmental representatives.
