Each semester students from the MBA class gather to show off their skills, of various levels, in one of the many intramural leagues offered at UBC, with the goal of staying in shape, having some fun and getting to know your classmates better.
In 2011 teams representing Sauder have signed up to compete in intramural basketball, hockey, soccer, and volleyball. There are also talks of adding softball and beach volleyball to the list for those who stick around Vancouver for internships. On top of the regularly scheduled intramural events, a group of Sauder MBA students have also begun training for the annual Vancouver Marathon.
Other more informal events planned for the upcoming year include skating and hockey lessons, ski trips to Cypress and Whistler, golf lessons and rounds, pick-up beach volleyball, ultimate frisbee.
