The Humanitarian Club is extremely excited about this year’s Race for Shelter! Preparations are well underway and it is bound to be the best Race for Shelter to date. This will be no easy task since last year’s team raised over $18,000 for the Union Gospel Mission with Team Academy’s crazy outdoor adventures.

The day is structured as an “Amazing Race” style team building extravaganza! Teams from Vancouver’s Real Estate and Development Community will be formed to take on their rivals in a battle of a wits and endurance. As they take to the streets and parks of Vancouver’s West End, these teams will come together with the common goal of being reigned the champion of the Race for Shelter. But don’t be fooled, even the losers are winners in this competition because everyone gets to leave at the end of the day knowing they have contributed to such a great cause.

The Union Gospel Mission is a registered charity that is “committed to serving our community with a broad continuum of effective programs and quality services for anyone in need.” The Race for Shelter is our way to give back to such a deserving organization. We look forward to the support from Vancouver’s business community and professional students alike to help make this an unforgettable event.

Start and End Location: Stanley Park Second Beach

Team registration: 5-6 members per team. Registration fee apply ($2000 corporate and $1200 student)
