The Sauder Consulting Club functions as a subsidiary under the MBA Society. With over 100 members from the current full-time and part-time Sauder MBA program, it brings together the group of MBA candidates and the professional community.
The Club closely works with the alumni, MBA office and professionals in the field to support and provide guidance to the members in accomplishing their career goals. The club has organized several events featuring guest speakers from the industry with exceptional experience and insight.
Mission:
The Sauder MBA Consulting club seeks to provide support and guidance to those members of both the Full-Time and Part-Time programs who are interested in pursuing careers within the diverse field of consulting. Our focus is not industry or skill specific and we hope to provide our members with the opportunity to learn about consulting in Human Capital, Operations Excellence, IT Management, and Corporate Strategy.
Initiatives:
The Club will work closely with the MBA and Career Center offices, alumni, and related corporate entities to coordinate opportunities to learn about the industry and develop those skills that consulting companies typically value. In 2011, we hope to organize a number of guest speaker events, networking opportunities, and skills workshops. The Club will also seek to assist our Case Competition teams and members of the Strategy Consulting Mentorship Program through organized case study sessions and preparation workshops.
