Junior Part Time President – Nolan Peterson

Nolan Peterson is an MBA candidate at the University of British Columbia. He possesses a Bachelor’s of Applied Science Degree in Materials and Metallurgical engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Engineer. He currently works as a Metallurgist with a large engineering consulting firm, working to develop mineral properties around the world. Nolan has experience in project management, financial and metallurgical modeling as well as process design.

Junior Part Time VP Internal – Steve Kassimatis

Steven Kassimatis is currently completing the PT MBA at the University of British Columbia. He plans to pursue a specialization in Strategic Management and Finance. Steve graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelors of General Studies. He has a background in sales, operations management, and business development. And, has a license to kill.

Junior Part Time VP External – Caterina Papdakos

Caterina Papadakos is an MBA candidate at the University of British Columbia and has a degree in Political Science with a European Concentration. In her current role as International Partnerships and Programs Manager in the Trade and Investment Division of the provincial government, she focuses on opening up procurement opportunities for BC businesses with the World Bank Group and other International Financial Institutions and Multilateral Development Banks. She recently held a key role during the 2010 Olympics managing the Cypress Mountain Media Centre. Prior to moving to Vancouver in 2007, she worked on legislative reports within the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Secretariat at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Aside from work and school, winter is all about snowboarding and the summers involve quality time at the beach, on the sea wall and enjoying a cold beverage on a sunny patio with good friends.

Junior Part Time Events – Duncan Meade

Duncan Meade was born and raised in England and moved to Vancouver in 1999 after completing undergraduate and postgraduate engineering degrees.
He spent 2 years working as a Post‐Doctoral Fellow at UBC before moving to a multinational engineering company that specialized in industrial process automation where he spent 6 years working on projects across the globe.

Duncan currently holds the position of Manager, Applications Engineering for a Vancouver‐based company which is an industry leader in carbon-neutral biomass energy technology. He manages an engineering team providing technical expertise and customer support to the company’s global sales and business development efforts.

In his spare time, Duncan enjoys snowboarding and mountain biking, spending a lot of time on the North Shore and at Whistler.
