Update August 12, 2009

Anyone up for a stop over in Tokyo??

Please see below for an offer with Japan Airlines. It looks like there will be about a 5hr stop over at Narita on the way to HK, enough for a quick tour of Tokyo.

Also, it looks like we need 15 people for the group deal. If anyone is interested in this please email china@mbasociety.ca, and also let us know how you rank the Cathay option and the Japan Airlines options, #1 and #2. If enough people would prefer the JAL option, we will see if they can extend the offer to a smaller group of 10 maybe.

We only have 6 people so far interested in the group rate with Cathay, so we do have to caution that neither group deal may be a go. We will leave it open until August 25th for the group deals.  If we don't have a large enough group by that date committed, we'll forget the group options.

Ahhh, the joy of having so many choices!

HKGUpdate August 10, 2009:

Just a quick update on flights. There is still the possibility of the Cathay group deal, it is $1290 incl taxes (also includes the HK - Shanghai flight), but we need 10+ people committed, so far I only have 4.  If you are interested let me know, as soon as we have 10 people I will confirm that the rate is still valid, but I can't guarantee whether we will have enough people interested and whether the price will not change.

The second option is booking your own flights, either through Air Canada or Cathay.  With the AC flight, you fly bak to YVR from Shanghai, but with Cathay you fly back to HK and then to Vancouver, so a longer trip back.  Some people have got good deals on AC, under $900, but remember that you also have to purchase a separate flight fr HK - Shanghai, which is around $300.

Any questions, let us know at: china@mbasociety.ca
